EXCITING SPECIAL SOUTH AUSTRALIAN AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT - KANGAROO ISLAND GOURMET FOODS ANNOUNCED AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FOODS AWARD WINNER FOR 2007
Kangaroo Island has been named Australia's best regional district or area foods producer with judges impressed with not only the high quality of the Kangaroo Island food products but also the high standard of the packaging presentations.
The South Australian Government Minister of Tourism was extremely pleased with this announcement saying this award verifies what connoisseurs and visitors to the Island have known for some time, that Kangaroo Island foods, wines and crafts are of an exceptionally high standard and this is a wonderful reward for everyone that has been involved in creating the range of Kangaroo Island products.
Kangaroo Islanders' belief in their products has now been confirmed with this Australian National Award announcement, which says very clearly that Kangaroo Island food products would sit comfortably alongside any of the world's recognised leading manufactures of quality fine food products.
This award is timely as it fits in ideally with the equally exciting news of the recent opening of the Kangaroo Island Gourmet Foods and Craft shop at Port Adelaide.
